Bucket List (completed things)

Just a list of things I’ve completed that I’m kinda sorta proud of. :)

1. Had 5 children, including twins!
2. Made my own computer font
3. Stood on the Great Wall of China
4. Seen the Hong Kong skyline in person
5. Flown halfway across the world by myself
6. Ridden in a hot air balloon
7. Learned how to knit and then knit 5 kids Christmas sweaters and stockings
8. Learned to tango (and waltz and foxtrot)
9. Made and canned homemade jam
10. Learned to ice skate (I don’t fall down any more, that counts)
11. Survived a divorce
12. Thrown an awesome New Years Eve party (annually)
13. Sewed a wedding dress, 2 bridesmaids (1 pregnant, me), and 2 flower girl dresses
14. Owned my own business
15. Got into nursing school and on the Dean’s List
16. Been in the Statue of Liberty
17. Been to Niagara Falls
18. Changed a flat tire (almost, long story)
19. Replaced light fixtures and a garbage disposal all on my own
20. Started a camp fire
21. Been a Girl Scout Cookie Mom and Leader
22. Learned CPR
23. Camped in Bear Country (Smoky Mountains in Virginia)
24. Broken a Jeep while off roading (it was just the sway bar connector, it’s suppose to pop out!)
25. Been sailing in a pirate boat for an entire weekend
26. Seen the sights at Washington DC
27. Been pulled over by the Secret Service
28. Saw a presidential inauguration in person (GW Bush, first term)
29. Coded more than 3 web sites on my own
30. Been white water rafting in West Virginia
31. Climbed a mountain (one of the little Rocky Mountains, Colorado Springs)
32. Took the Cog Railroad train up to Pikes Peak (Colorado Springs)
33. Did 60 push-ups in 2 minutes (thanks ROTC!)
34. Graduated salutatorian of my high school class
35. Woven a basket (or 4)
36. Learned French, Latin, and Mandarin Chinese
37. Been to the top of the CN Tower (Toronto)
38. Been to the top of the Empire State (NYC)
39. Been to the top of the Sears Tower (Chicago, although I know it’s called something else now)
40. Ridden in a helicopter (again, ROTC)
41. Walked through Central Park and eaten brunch at Tavern on the Green
42. Stayed in the Waldorf Astoria (NYC)
43. Taken apart, reassembled and shot an M16 (ROTC)
44. Camped out for concert tickets (Garth Brooks in the mid-90′s)
45. Stood in line for Harry Potter books at midnight on release day
46. Been on a paddle river boat (on the Ohio River)
47. Gone snorkeling in the Bahamas
48. Painted a picture
49. Taken a train ride (a few times)
50. Been to Disney World with the kids
51. Assembled IKEA furniture
52. Eaten escargot
53. Been carried out of a rock concert
54. Been to the top of the St. Louis Arch
55. Successfully cultured antibiotic resistant bacteria in a lab
56. Got a tattoo (2 so far)
57. Written a book (although not published)
58. Adopted a cat from a shelter
59. Been interviewed for a newspaper article for doing something that I love (creating Halloween costumes)
60. Voted in every presidential election since turning 18
61. Been to a Broadway show (3 so far: Rent, Moving Up, Les Mis)
62. Rear-ended a school bus and backed into a fire hydrant (2 separate accidents)
63. Rode an elephant
