"Perhaps I'm old and tired, but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied." -Douglas Adams

I was really hoping to ‘take today off’ from running around like a crazy person (trying to use up those precious kid-free hours during the school day) and just sew* but I think I still need to spend at least an hour today running around like a crazy person.

Today’s errand list includes trips to the post office and fabric store, dropping off a paper at our insurance office, and having my TB test read. It’s negative, I already googled ‘positive TB test pictures’ but I need the doctor’s signature on a form to prove it in the future.

And then I will sew*. And keep my fingers crossed that I get into the MWF 9am psychology class. I’m currently wait-listed and they close registration at 4pm today. If I don’t, I plan to be one of those pesky demanding ‘polite but convincing’ students who begs pleads asks the professor to let her in anyways. It’s do-able according to the “What to Do if you’re on the Wait List” form they gave me at registration. Maybe I should bake some cookies…

sew* I’m still running the business part-time and I’m a vendor at Stitches Midwest in September. So I need to be sewing product as much as possible. Because as you know, being a mom to 5, maintaining the house, and going back to school aren’t keeping me busy enough…

  1. Does Greg know how to sew? Wouldn’t it be nice if he could help you now that he is out of school? Plus, dad’s just don’t carry the weight of the household stuff like mom’s do. He should be able to run the business for you for a while. Think of all the sales he would get at Stitches? He should totally man the booth, and the women would come to see him for sure.
