"Perhaps I'm old and tired, but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied." -Douglas Adams

So I’ve had the same 4 things on my To Do list for like two weeks now:

  • go to the fabric store (a ‘getting out of the house with or without 5 kids’ issue)
  • order sew-in business labels (requires a phone call to the West coast hence the procrastination)
  • call the “travel doctor” to set up Hep A & B vaccines (another phone call, ick)
  • place a wholesale zipper order (which can be done online, just haven’t figured out the number, sizes, and colors I need)

Today I should also really call the university to see if they have my financial aid package put together yet, hem my sister’s pants (short genes, long jeans), answer some business emails from yesterday (I’m usually pretty good at getting to those within 24 hours), sew, cancel an appointment, and dye my hair. Hmph.

What I really want is a To Do list like this:

  • Fly to Fiji
  • Hang out with Brad Pitt on the beach
  • Get a pedicure
  • Read a book
  • Ignore the world

Maybe I’ll write that list in for Friday just for the hell of it. It could happen…

  1. I’d make the phone calls first…at least you can put your feet up while you do it! But you’ve probably already accomplished half a dozen things while I was eating breakfast! :)

  2. So far I’ve gone to the fabric store, ordered the labels, made doctor’s appt, canceled an appt, and dyed my hair. Sewing is up next!
