That pretty much sums up mid-Nov to now. Actually it’s still a saying I’m using in a big part of my life but I’m going to try to write about the rest occasionally.
A quick summary of the rest…
I am SO GLAD that 2009 is over. I can not remember a crappier year ever. And I did not start 2010 with kidney stones, so far so good.
The kids are fine if not a little whiny. We’ve *almost* recovered from Christmas vacation. Although the tree is still up.
I finished the 1st semester of college with two A’s and two A-’s. I start back tomorrow in Anatomy (and lab), Microbiology (and lab), Intro to Business, and Humanities (lit, art, and music rolled into one). It is more hours so I hope I can keep up with it all.
My dad’s dad died last week and I attended the funeral yesterday. I’m a little sad to say I didn’t know him as well as I should have. He was 93. It was great to see a lot of family even if it wasn’t under the best of circumstances.
There’s snow on the ground and it’s been way under freezing for the last few weeks. I’m ready for summer…
Yes, I’m dating someone I met on Match.com He’s an awesome guy and I’ve spent part of the last 3 big holidays with him (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Years). And I’m not sure how much I’ll write about him but just know he’s part of the ‘Really Great’ life stuff I might not be blogging about.
So that’s that for now. Hope your new year is going fabulous!

I am happy this year started better, and 2009 probably ended better, too. To have someone who loves you and cares for you is a great thing.

Questions:
How did y’all tell the kids about the divorce. How did they take it? How did y’all talk to them about dating new people? How did they take that?
How do you weed out the psychos on sites like match.com? Do you have any advice on dating with kids, dating after divorce, and how to get through day to day life when the grief feels so debilitating?
